This is my first blog post as the director of the DFW Center for Play Therapy Training. I am excited to be offering play therapy training in North Texas. We offer a variety of training topics that will encourage and support you as you develop the skills necessary to be an effective play therapist.

In addition to training I will be offering play therapy supervision for those who are interested in obtaining the RPT (Registered Play Therapist) credential. Supervision will begin in January 2015 and will include both individual and group supervision. If you are interested in learning more about play therapy supervision contact me.

Are you a therapist who is wanting to develop and market your practice? Are you employed at an agency that needs assistance in setting up a play therapy room? I offer consulting services in person, by phone or by Skype.

The majority of our trainings are held in the Dallas area, but if you can't come to us I can come to you! Contact me with your training needs and I can bring a play therapy training to your agency, organization or conference.

To stay informed of upcoming training opportunities sign up for our email list. I look forward to meeting and networking with fellow play therapists and hope to see you at an upcoming training.

HI Pam:

Congratulations on getting set up in a new locale. It takes bravery to do this! I notice that you said you would travel for training - how far do you go? Is that for training only or group supervision?

I offer group supervision from my office, I also travel for trainings, but never for group supervision yet. I was just curious about your model.

Cheers,
Amy

Hi Amy. Thanks for taking the time to comment. I travel only for play therapy training and have trained in various locations across the country when I've been invited by various organizations. When I offer group play therapy supervision it's in my office, or within the DFW area. Distance play therapy supervision can be done by phone or video conference.
